The major north-south highway route through eastern and central Virginia is I-95, which bisects I-64 at Richmond. Take the eastern I-295 loop around Richmond exiting at I-64 east for the 105 mile trip to the oceanfront at Virginia Beach. In Norfolk, take I-264 east for the last 12 1/2 miles to the oceanfront and Atlantic Avenue. Turn left on Atlantic and proceed less than 2 blocks north, the hotel will be on your right at 2207 Atlantic Avenue.

A direct route from the north into the area is the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel via U. S. Rte 13 to Route 60, (Shore Drive in Virginia Beach). Take Shore Drive in an easterly direction for seven miles until it merges into Atlantic Avenue at 82nd Street. Proceed 4.5 miles south to Ocean Sands Resort & Spa at 2207 Atlantic Avenue. (Save 95 miles if driving directly from the northeastern U.S. by taking Route 13 off I-95, just south of Wilmington, Delaware.)
