50th Annual Boardwalk Art Show
– One of the largest art shows of it’s kind, this event
has taken on a festive aura of it’s own. Hosting hundreds of
artists from throughout the Atlantic region line the Boardwalk with
original art, paintings, jewelry, ceramics, photography and crafts.

11th Annual Elvis Event - Viva
Elvis and the Legends of Rock & Roll – The King and legendary
Rock & Roll impersonators descend on the beach (literally), to
participate in a sing-off, karaoke and look-alike contests. Sample
some of Elvis’s favorite dishes, look for memorabilia and be
sure to watch for your favorite in the swinging, singing Elvis contest!

TodiMusicFest - Returning for it’s
fifth year, the international TodiMusic Festival is a combined effort
of local and Italian promoters to bring in music performance artists
from around the world. Opera, American traditional music including
folk, jazz and pops as well as classical orchestras perform in venues

80th Annual Chincoteague Pony Swim and
Auction - On the Eastern Shore north of Virginia Beach, saltwater
cowboys round up the wild ponies on Assateague Island and swim them
over to Chincoteague. The young ponies are sold to thin the herd,
which in turn balances the ecology of their limited island habitat.
Proceeds from the auction benefit the town of Chincoteague. This annual
event was made famous by Marguerite Henry’s children’s
book, Misty of Chincoteague and draws thousands of visitors each year.

43rd East Coast Surfing Championship
– The longest running event of it’s kind on the east coast,
an estimated 100 professional and 400 amateur surfers vie for various
prizes. Let’s just say the surfers own the beach between 1st
